Gego and me

A recent trip to the city library in Manchester led me to a book. This book led to my dream, and now i can't find this book. Ok this is a talk of a lunatic but seriously after countless search for janet taylor or triangles on a corner, i am starting to think she doesn't actually exist and perhaps i made her up. In the mean time Gego does exist, thank god for that. She produces large sculptural pieces that looks a bit like cobwebs, thats a very sophisticated description coming from me. Will this mean i cant produce this dream i had? Quest to go to the library and look for the book. In the mean time i am no longer exhibiting at link gallery as i have rightfully wasted a month away playing spider solitaire, and didn't produce any work. Oh well lets hope i do something for the Test Exhibition. I need to get a move on someone needs to slap me right now. rant over yes thanks, bye.

This is me kind of drunk writing right now. Well not really. Gawdd so much has happened just went out to Now Wave, was a good girls night out, minus the weird guys, i swear there's always the typical weird guys dancing round girls all the time.
Oh also Alice in Wonderland in 3d, i don't quite know how to describe it, it's like a love hate kind of thing and i can't quite decide if i liked it or hated it.
Gawddd im so weirded out right now, i don't know what's happening and it's frustrating. Or maybe it's just me?

This is possibly the most perfect headscarf ever, amazing pastel colours!!! I wished people wore more pastels like that so nice and sweet and look at her hair streaks of pink, ace!

Ok so i've been going on this art site called booooooom.com, which is nice and all that. jeff hamada on the other hand, also the founder of the website, is an artist himself, mainly working with quirky illustrations. I really wanted to show his work cause i really like it, simple as.

Balmain

I've been dying to see the new collection for fall 10/11

I managed to find on the entire web just one video from the catwalk which was telegraph.co.uk
I can tell you i was actually excited, which is no suprise as i've always liked Balmain and the impact it has on people. It's always dramatic and daring almost attention seeking, which is not a bad thing. So excited to see so many gold sparkly shiny things!!

This collection takes influence from the court of versailles, from the brocade prints to the 'Over the top' sequins and fringing. Not that they would have had 'over the top sequins' back then, but you get the idea yarr?

Ok just to quote, which retard earlier on said there wasn't any videos. Err that would be me. Oui.Apologies.



As for the vid comments, i must admit yes the collection does seem almost predictable with the metallics and dresses and can almost pass for last season, but i still like it. Even for the lack of change.

Fill your bags

excitement excitement today!!! i went to the Retro Rehab sale today £10 for a bag, and ran round like headless chicken all morning picking up dresses and trying to stuff them in my tiny bag. I can confirm though that all this effort was not wasted as i emptied out my bag i actually picked up quite a lot of things, whilst many people left with full bags mine was more than full, it was excessively full if thats the right way of putting it. I even got told by the shop assistant to take some stuff out, eek.

Oh well now i am the proud owner of 17 new dresses or so and some random lovely scarfs thrown in the mix i am expecially in love with the pastel one!!!! Photos soon.

Happy times

It is march and the sky is getting brighter by the day. As for me fashion seems to be getting duller for me. Im trying to mix in with the crowd now. Lately even tho prints amazes me i kind of feel a bit bored now i need something new in my life something exciting. Any suggestions? Oh and 3 exhibitions on the go, first one in two weeks and i have produced zero work so far. Oh brain. Oh well.
