I officially suck! Yeah i know well..... i did have lots of stuff to write about but i am experiencing short term dementia due to my new job aka brain freeze or whatever else. I feel like a walking zombie. MUST yes MUST re educate myself in anyway.

Anyway anyone reading thought it might be nice to add my new tumblr which i update almost daily a lot more frequent then here. It's the only thing i can do without making too much of an effort.

Here's to a great year ahead! Happy New Year to all you beautiful people out there. I will make 2011 a year full of excitement and stories. Do all the things i've ever wanted and actually doing them and not just saying them. Making more of an effort with both my appearance and attitude (figured i have a way too laid back attitude gets me nowhere)
Yes i ended 2010 watching Tomb raider with my mum, sister and brothers. Hopefully next year i'll be doing something a bit more exciting.
Goodbye 2010 i will not miss you. Hello 2011.

Is anyone else excited??? Well i betcha cause everyone seems to be going on about it well the Tron x Opening Ceremony collection at least.

The blonde girl looks so much like Jessica Stam almost uncanny, can it be?? I am so excited because i love Daft Punk and possibly one of the best acts i have ever seen live in my entire life (o2 wireless Leeds 2007!!!) !!! I mean it, alot. and because of that i have pre ordered the Tron Soundtrack which includes a double CD by Daft Punk a digital album also the best part. . . . Daft Punk/ Tron GLOW IN THE DARK poster!!!!!!!!

Like how amazinnnng can things get?!! Can't wait to put the poster up in my room and stare at it day and night and thank you for Daft Punk re entering my life again, now all i need is a decent job then i'll be as happy as a bunny! Also bought myself a new lipstick should be with me soon, can't wait. It's Loreal in Joy Crimson 300. Like a fuschia/ dark red undertone. If you get me. Really into the whole dark red lips vibe thing. Still loving my Topshop Vamp one, but just need an excuse to wear it out.

Also i wouldn't mind getting a trucker jacket, been outbidded on ebay. :(

The image is from Marc Jacobs catwalk show. (Do correct me if im wrong cos my head is getting me mixed up with the LV show with the bunny ears?) I actually love this collection. The colours, design, everything about it is quite chic and stylish. Although i must admit i am loving the cute bow miu miu dress that has been on the cover of three major fashion magazines!

I am not really a big massive fan of Olivia Palermo from The city. The thing is i just really like the dress she's wearing on here, i think it's Valentino, then again i can't quite remember.

I've decided my blog is lacking a bit of a music update since . . .erm I don't think i have really dedicated a post to music not even any festivals, like ever. Eeek.

I am never really up to date with any new bands and when i do im always a few months behind. Anyway the bands i have been listening to the most is probably Salem (not to be confused with the hardcore metal band).

Their sound is an eclectic clashing mix of what i'd describe as gothic eerie beats? Not a really good description really but gives a brief idea, listen to redlights.

I've also been listening to a lot of old and grungy stuff and some beats as well.

Also been listening to a lot of vivian girls as well. That's it for now girls and gals.

Anyway moving on, I've noticed this around the blogosphere radar and around shops and magazines and of course on FROCK ME! Double denim dream mania.
Am I on it? Definitely, but somehow denim always reminds me of those old hollywood cowboy films, people dressed in heavy denim shooting each other or sat in some kind of pub far out from everything else. I think I own 2 denim dresses and that is all. But I saw these shoes from Pixie Market and fell instantly in love with them, Denim fringe! Yes Please. I might attempt some DIY denim fringing now.

Woop so yesterday was my exhibition preview along with work by Charlotte Trewin and Ekaterina Korzon. For the exhibition i produced a video installation with video clips from 50s horror movies, b-horror movies, whatever you call them. There was a lot of humor in it, although, i myself am not too sure about this? I think i did it intentionally without thinking much about it. The film clips i made was meant to be about 'self destruction'. The theme for this exhibition was nature, hence the name 'Zafta' meaning nature in russian ( I think that's right).
Unfortunately there was no cake, as promised as i was still editing the clips right until the very minute before the preview started. Encountering many problems on the way very typically a Bonnie thing i must say. Not only did a dvd disk get stuck in my laptop, but the dvd players was slow as hell.
Anyway the exhibition was so nicely done, Im so proud of us all , considering we have extra work to do for our final show and stress before with handing in our journals. So tonight i will treat myself to a well earned night out with the gals.
Ehh i guess you all want to see what was actually i the exhibition right?
There was lots and lots of intricate papercuttings by the lovely Charlotte and wallpaper and painting by the lovely Katya. Their work fitted in with the theme perfectly and the work together complimented each other, it was like it was meant to belong together. Whereas mine was dominating one corner where people can chill out on the sofas and have my piece kill their conversation. Yeah everytime the mushroom cloud was on it always fell silent for some strange reason, and the godzilla clip always brought laughter. A good combination I'd say. Photos soon.

I came across these paintings last night, and was stunned at how beautiful they are. Photo is from a Vogue shoot not Jen Mann. But i can already imagine where she has taken her inspirations from, one look at each painting is like looking through a fashion magazine, mixed with wildlife books. Jen also has a magazine called Moist Beaver magazine what a fun name. The first pub quiz i went to we were called the Birds moisturiser for some reason. we came near the bottom. Oh well.

After a well spent 3 hours trying to log into the site and not to mention a sleepless night I managed to luckily bag myself a Marc jacobs dress, which i must admit is not really of my taste and comments about it looking like a nightgown doesn't help either. The problem was everything was already near sold out. So i was lucky enough to even get anything, oh and did i mention it's size 0, lets see how it goes with me trying to squeeze into it, but it shouldn't really be a problem i guess since it looks like some sort of jersey so will hopefully stretch, if worse comes to worse i'll have to lose weight or even give it away.

Im not one to complain and i don't think there is much to complain since £1 is nothing for a designer item. I just feel for those like my sister who stayed up all night waiting for an email and ended up with nothing. I just felt maybe theoutnet, given its current position as one of the most popular new sites for discount designer items, might have prepared better for what might have seemed like a complete nightmare, even for myself.

One starts to think if this was a good idea in the first place? It was well publicised but theoutnet seemed to have underestimated the amount of people that would take part in this 'party'. As someone quite crudely commented as "being invited to a party and driven by a chauffeur then being punched in the face"

This has certainly left a lot of people steaming, will this be the end of anymore £1 sales in the future for theOutnet.com ?

Today has been one of those days where you can't quite make out if it's a good or a bad one. The sky is grey i may be forced to leave certain things. On a plus the exhibition yesterday went surprisingly well, after many doubts about the space etc not to mention the timeline i ripped down (oops). I spent literally all day before 6Pm to film and edit the different film clips, go to the space at the moonfish to find working TVs, which proved harder than i thought. Right up till 6pm when we had to stop and clear everything out for the preview at 7pm. I surprisingly pulled this whole thing off and surprisingly i will stop using surprisingly before someone slaps me.
But this easter i promise will be a good productive holiday, i'll have to make it even if it isn't.
Also reconnecting with old friends. My friend from Korea from when i was little just messaged me!!! The wonders!

I feel like there is so much going on right now. I missed a chance to participate in an earlier exhibition a few weeks back due to my laziness and i feel i don't have enough time to even do anything, which is a complete lie. I have an exhibition tomorrow which i am actually going to participate in which will hopefully result to an endless night of working. In the mean time I feel my choice of over complicating things does me no good, so back to simple life and simple ideas.

I give you this stopmotion animation by taiwanese artist Bang-Yao Liu. SO simple yet the idea works effectively especially with the music. If only things were this simple in life.

SInce i am not of the elite. I had to watch the shows on youtube. I never really mentioned any really but i should let you know that i have spent many a nights watching these fashion shows and googling who wore what who fell on the runway etc. Anyway last night after i read so many things on the Dolce and Gabbana fall 2010 catwalk, i finally gave into youtubing the video. I think it ended spectacularly, seeing all the models at the end parading down the runway with a backdrop of all the seamstresses, co-workers, what have you gather around the screen witnessing an end to the collection, left me rather satisfied, not too sure about the collection itself thought, while many are pushing the limits within fashion. I just felt there should have been more, or is less is more? here is a question to debate.

A recent trip to the city library in Manchester led me to a book. This book led to my dream, and now i can't find this book. Ok this is a talk of a lunatic but seriously after countless search for janet taylor or triangles on a corner, i am starting to think she doesn't actually exist and perhaps i made her up. In the mean time Gego does exist, thank god for that. She produces large sculptural pieces that looks a bit like cobwebs, thats a very sophisticated description coming from me. Will this mean i cant produce this dream i had? Quest to go to the library and look for the book. In the mean time i am no longer exhibiting at link gallery as i have rightfully wasted a month away playing spider solitaire, and didn't produce any work. Oh well lets hope i do something for the Test Exhibition. I need to get a move on someone needs to slap me right now. rant over yes thanks, bye.

I've been dying to see the new collection for fall 10/11

I managed to find on the entire web just one video from the catwalk which was telegraph.co.uk
I can tell you i was actually excited, which is no suprise as i've always liked Balmain and the impact it has on people. It's always dramatic and daring almost attention seeking, which is not a bad thing. So excited to see so many gold sparkly shiny things!!

This collection takes influence from the court of versailles, from the brocade prints to the 'Over the top' sequins and fringing. Not that they would have had 'over the top sequins' back then, but you get the idea yarr?

Ok just to quote, which retard earlier on said there wasn't any videos. Err that would be me. Oui.Apologies.

As for the vid comments, i must admit yes the collection does seem almost predictable with the metallics and dresses and can almost pass for last season, but i still like it. Even for the lack of change.

excitement excitement today!!! i went to the Retro Rehab sale today £10 for a bag, and ran round like headless chicken all morning picking up dresses and trying to stuff them in my tiny bag. I can confirm though that all this effort was not wasted as i emptied out my bag i actually picked up quite a lot of things, whilst many people left with full bags mine was more than full, it was excessively full if thats the right way of putting it. I even got told by the shop assistant to take some stuff out, eek.

Oh well now i am the proud owner of 17 new dresses or so and some random lovely scarfs thrown in the mix i am expecially in love with the pastel one!!!! Photos soon.

The September Issue

I've finally managed to watch it this morning. It was quite a nice and light watch. This documentary follows US Vogue Editor, Anna Wintour around as they prepare for the september issue. The most important issue of the year. This was really interesting as it lead us through the process in what needed to go in the magazine and decision making throughout the film. Anna Wintour is evidently the most important person in the film and the fashion industry as she is highly regarded by everyone and even described as like ' Madonna' of the fashion world by designer Thakoon.

Wintour is such an influential figure in the industry, that she is not scared of showing this. Her decisions are the final words in every conversation and she comes across as what some might describe as 'Ice Person'. As she is interviewed on a more personal level, i think her character shines through a little and somehow i felt a little sad for her. With a successful career and family, I can't help but get the sense that she somehow feels a little insecure about her personal life. Maybe it's just me? As she goes onto describe what her siblings are doing and then she moves onto herself. She somehow seems to hesitate and is quite straightforward, when she explains what some people might think of her job especially those close around her, like it's all a joke, "how can you take fashion so seriously, it's almost funny", blah blah blah. Obvious Anna has done a brilliant job with Vogue and this is evident, being one of the most successful magazines in the last few decades and even more.

On a personal level, i know i am nothing like her and will not be anything like her. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing? Somehow i kind of feel how she's feeling. I sometimes think a lot about my work, and i always think right so im doing this but how is this helping anyone? What is the point of this? And it never ceases to baffle me the more i think about it. I sometimes feel that people don't take me seriously when i tell them what i do and all i get is a puzzled face and i don't bother to explain as it leaves them even more puzzled. But sometimes I can't feel but a little hurt when those closest to you don't even get what you're trying to do. My sister graduated with a science degree, my younger brother is doing a science degree and my youngest brother is still in high school but we know that he wants to study science as well, somehow i can't help but feel sometimes disappointed in what i'm doing or capable of doing. I don't know and it's hard to explain. I guess noone will ever fully understand what they want to truly do.

Right now i am really into fashion short films, like totally over it yarr!
A while ago i came upon a video by a Chinese director for Prada menswear. I never bothered to write about it, although i did want to, but my laziness stopped me. After a brief minute talk with my tutor. I started to wonder what animation meant to me. For me it's always been personal, i found it almost magical in a way, where the impossible becomes possible. Sometimes this can be overwhelming as my head burst with ideas wanting to spill out. Animation is a platform in a way of displaying my ideas through this media, it has so much potential to create so many different things all at once, deceiving the eye, making us believe. In response to this i want to show you this video made by Dali and Bunuel. I remember watching this at college during a lecture and i was amazed at how they managed to show some of the scenes, the man with the ants crawling out of his hand has been in my head this very day. Oh and of course i'll have to give Svankmajor a mention as well.

Being self taught, must have shaped her practise a lot and with it she creates mesmerising shorts which has been featured in several film festivals and on Dazeddigital. Billow has to be one of my favourites! WHo said girls can't make films er?

I was looking for this video i watched with Daul Kim in, and i've found it at last! I just like the lighting used which makes the whole video seem ethereal. The other video is from Nylon Tv, model of the week. She was intelligent, charismatic and will be deeply missed.

Noise_Lab fun

It's sometimes nice and refreshing to go to something new or interesting.

I went to a talk today at Noise Lab with the editor of Elephant magazine and co founder of Magma shop.

Although the room was freezing and i was actually shivering so much my body was not functioning as well as it should have. As with many talks i always tend to overuse the word 'inspirational', and inspirational it was, but also insightful. There Marc Valli (what a cool name i thought he was swedish at first, got me all excited!) talked us through his steps to a successful magazine. Covering problems such as publishing, getting money and design layouts.

I've always wanted to make zines since i was little, unfortunately the furthest i got to it was setting up a facebook group for my would be zine 'Amazine'. The direction of Elephant magazine leans more towards the contemporary art scene. I liked the ideas which was discussed and raised a few questions towards the future of magazines and where it'll head towards. With online access to hundreds of online magazines, where do actual magazines stand? I personally like the idea of having online access to magazines as it's quick to access but also like having the real version infront of me. Flipping through magazines is such an important thing for me to do now when i get hold of one, and having to touch the paper and flip through the different pages, gives a somewhat satisfying feeling.

These are two images from two different test shots i did today using a kitten spotlight in my bedroom. Basically i need to figure out how i want the film to look. SO have edited it two different ways. I think i prefer the sepia with aged film effect

What i might have to do to improve the 'Look', i will have to make the make-up more dramatic to achieve that 20s look. As you can't really tell in the shots, the way the lips are meant to shape more rectangular. Think Lillian Gish.

Oh and before i forget MJ on Dazed website, it's so perfect i can stare at it all day. Almost reminds me of Fred Tomasellis work, which i also posted about a while back. I just like that kind of abstract, let's get lost kind of art i guess.

A test strip i did last week based on the strata stencil technique. I was quite excited to try this out but with lack of equipment and my hand built device, didn't quite work out the way i wanted, you can still sort of see how it's meant to go tho.

No facebook for ever since i can't even log into my account pfft, Oh well spent today in bed waiting for my cassette playa shoes and still haven't even arrived yet. Eurghh. Life.

The shoes are actually quite ugly but i like it in a strange way. Can't wait to have them!!

Oh also photoshoot yesterday with zuza. it was rather fierce, as the photos confirm.

SO i really need to improve my drawing painting skills so i decided to set myself targets of a drawing everyday, still didn't work tho, here is what happened. It is all unfinished as usual with my work. Don't judge. i am really a bit crap at drawing pshh.

This is the 'finished version' of the Karen Elson painting which i've submitted to dazeddigital, probably wont hear anything back but great fun painting sort of. I sort of couldn't be bothered to finish the rest if you can tell and you used photoshop to try add some colours.

Fast Film

I don't think i've been this excited since ages ago, but today i stumbled across the most amazing things ever and no it's not something i've bought or anything but it's this short film 'Fast Film' Never spent 14 mins this happy, i was totally amazed and gobsmacked and i really want to buy the dvd now easily a masterpiece.

When i saw it, it solved all my problems and what i was looking for. For a few years now or two i've had so many ideas it just comes and goes, but there has been a few that has been stuck in my mind for a while now, and i never used it yet, because i needed something special to piece together these ideas to form a coherent story, a mixture of film, animation and origami ripping etc. I watched it and i knew instantly this was it, it's exactly what i needed, and no i haven't gone crazy. So happy now. Really this onedotzero dvd is actually quite good, apart from some not so good ones, some really scary (not even scary but disturbing), some average and exciting short films.

After reading the recent blog post by Queen Michelle I was rather transfixed on the images she had to offer. These were designs made by a design company in Amsterdam called Tjep

I was just looking at all the design work and reading up on them and i must say i am most impressed. Where all designers tackle their problems with a why? sounds most interesting and intriguing. I wished that i always questioned myself when producing my work. I probably do consciously without realising you know.

What you end up is a palette of wonderful designs, so beautiful and simple. The design concept is just so well thought out and made i wished i could post every photo possible as everything is so nicely done. But obviously i can't really do that can i?

I just love the piece called 'A clockwork Love'. I can't stop looking at it, it's almost hypnotic. Such a intricate piece i love the layering idea.

Yep. Just tried a bit of strata stencil today. its kind of quite hard to master even tho it seems simple. Or maybe it was the small device i built across my room that wasn't sturdy enough.
Consisted of some ropey/string tied onto my wardrobe and the door with bits of cardboard dangling mid-air. I can tell you getting the angles and everything right was a right nightmare, think i'll leave this technique for a while now. Don't think it's worked as well as it should have.
Although i have to say i think some of the photos on its own, seems stronger than what i imagined maybe i can do something with it? Maybe if i neatened some of them up? I might end up with something interesting, i just like the simple kind of shadow and shape.

The other day i especially went out to Rymans, to buy a ruler just so i could indulge in drawing triangles. Triangles?? Yes triangles, there is something about this shape that makes it more special than the other shapes. I can never figure how or why, but all i do remember is hypotenuse, trigonometry, all these words sounds some how futuristic to me, maybe cause it's associated with physics, maths or science, which then makes me think of time machines? Perhaps.

Anyway this is not the point. Irina Shaposhnikovaproduces wearable clothes, in the form of dresses, made up of triangles. Somehow the collection seems rather subtle, compared to other 'futuristic' clothes on the catwalk, which some found to be a bit too much. Her recent show named "Crystallographica" hit just the right note.

Nearly had a heart attack when apple sent me a copy of the receipt with a total of £200-300 on it i could have nearly died then read it clearly, i didnt have to pay a single penny. Also post Xmas, new diet, just went to China town and bought a load of instant noodles and miso soup and tofu :)). Happy.

Normally when i see paintings i only ever feel either amazed or nothing. But this is more than anything.

But it is not these paintings in which Angliker excels in. She specialised in industrial design at the Pratt Institute, New York. Here she won many awards, earning her the recognition she deserves.

I Love how she applies simple ideas to methods and produce something that is simple at the same time fresh and modern. See Lamp design below.

Highlights of 2009
Going to Poland (open'er festival, LOTP, pendulum+prodigy!), Sweden (swedish guys and gals and meatballs!), then to Japan (Tokyo and Osaka) and Hong Kong!!!

Hopefully 2010 will be much better. I graduate and will do whatever i want to do and get a cool job, hopefully move somewhere cool !!

Oh and i still have a list of films i need to watch.

Here is a list of things im obsessed with. I can't remember if i ever posted about an idea for one animation i want to make based on a list of my obsessions, well i am in the process of compiling this list right now:

1.The smell of aftershave, just when they walk away and you catch a whiff of the aftershave in the air for a few secs. Maybe it's just me?
2.Pretty, strange faces, this always ends up as hours of staring at models in magazines.
3.Strange things, that are attractive.
4.Rainbows, colour splashes, neon.
5. Light magic.
6.movement, wonderful dance.

8. 'tashes and beards, any extreme facial hair.

I saw this on a blog just a while ago.

'My Paper Mind' by Javen Ivey: an animation technique called stratastencil based on an early method know as strata-cut which was pioneered by Oskar Fischinger in the 1920s and later on in the 1990s used by David Daniels to create 'Buzz Box'. You can see Javen Ivery's process here

I might try this technique out, more fun than rotoscoping i reckon! If i used lots of different coloured paper, might make it a bit psychedelic.

I stumbled across this, a bit too scary and gory for my liking but cool idea.

Might be time i used all my children books i've collected from charity shops and cut them up and make a collage type animation. Maybe time to do more work for 2010!!!

Kris Knight is a Canadian painter. See below. His work has often been described as attractive as they are disturbing dealing with a/sexuality. This can be seen throughout his paintings, from the young boys to the young lady, there is something lurking behind the faces, almost using the beauty to conceal a secret, the subjects are all pale and somehow reminds me of vampires, thirsting for blood, but then this is just my idea of it. The young man with the blond hair can almost be swedish, or is he? Infact the blond one can almost pass as a girl??

As with everyone, im sure the sale will bring many wonderful things to people. As for me i went into work, yes on boxing day missing out on big offers, my mum went to Harvey Nichols and everything was cleared off the shelves!

As for me i actually did the sale early on Topshop.com a few days ago and managed to bag myself a few suprises!!!

These shorts are actually so funny reminds me of my early teens in bright pink cycling shorts, why oh why. Great for working out in I reckon and short bike rides.

Tights tights tights, what more can i say? I wanted a pink pair so the stripey pair was perfect as for the Emma Cook shoes, i so wanted a pair ages ago now its on sale its only fair i buy two to make up for the price before right?

To top it all of would be amazing to have this also!!!

Ive been wanting these coloured chart ones forever nowwww, I really definitely, most likely will buy the purple one, but then i was thinking i want the pink, blue and black one!!!!!! This is Fred Butler, which made me think of Fred perry for some reason? Maybe it's the name Fred? Blonde moment.

London based designer already building up a steady portfolio, having worked for big names and mags such as Vogue, ID, Dazed and confused etc. Butler makes wild eye pop-ing props for fashion shoots and window displays having already been commissioned by Kokon to Zai and Selfridges, Butler was made to rule.

With my constant fascination for the weird and wonderful, it is not surprising why Butlers designs are the most sought after. One thing for sure Butler can sure throw some shapes.

I don't know what's happening to me. I'm having the weirdest dreams ever, in fact weird cannot even describe what my dreams are. Last night or this morning i woke up after having the worse dream in my life!!

I dreamt that someone died, not someone i know or close to. Then my sister cut up her body and took her organs and put in all into a long cardboard box. I was carrying this long box all the way through, trying to hide it so people couldn't see what was inside, and i can remember my sister dropping the brain in the box as well, it was horrible. We were meant to go to someplace im not sure where, But like a big building a bit like university or the hospital with the box i can't remember why. It was raining really bad and the box was getting weaker, i had to use all my body to support it and to make sure noone saw what was inside. I remember all the liquid fluid dripping out of the box leaking onto me but i still had to hold the box and as the box leaked out more fluid onto me the box started getting smaller almost disappearing. The floor was muddy we were walking along a narrow path almost like a labyrinth in the countryside. I think people got suspicious and said they saw us walking down the path with the box. Then somehow it moved onto a different scenery I was no longer holding the box, but i was at the bus stop or somewhere outside waiting, and then i saw a man and somewhere else, i knew they were close to the person in the box and i felt so bad.

My dreams kept on skipping then there was a scene when i was with someone else wearing a kimono half undone running across a shopping center then i went inside a shop and just sat down with people looking at me.

This moved onto something else, not sure what order it was in. I was in a house and i really wanted to find my crime reference number and i got a friend to ring up the police, but when she did they said they're send a letter with it and told me to read it briefly and important not to read the back of it or something, and then i got the letter through the post my dad had it and read it for me and said i had lymph cancer, pretty random right?? I woke up and it all felt so weird, then as i walked out of the house i saw a police car parked near my house and a letter through the post with my crime reference number from victim support and as i was going to the bus stop everything felt really weird, i saw a funeral car on the way to the bus stop. And as i came back from town i ended up carrying lots of boxes with me free from H&M.

DOn't know if these have any meaning at all? Im kind off scared now, paranoid to say the least my mum rang me and said she saw on news similar to what i described two guys from Poland, wanted for raping a girl and beating her. Sounds really horrible!!!

I think i may need to speak to someone, I'm still kind of scared.

I am brimming with lots and lots of ideas lately. First i want to test out different techniques with shots and effects. I am really one for creating effects!! I also came upon photographer Jacob Sutton and his latest collection of work titled "Bermuda Triangle". I know nothing about the meaning of this until i wikied it, yes i use wikipedia!! Sounds like a mysterious place. His photos shows models running through walls drowned in water, but one thing that really appeals to me is the way he uses different materials to help him achieve the last results. Like milk and water to create the image above. WHo would have thought of that, well i should have but i don't think much, and polystyrene and flour!!!

Talk with Noel Clarke

I was suprised this wasn't sold out or why all the seats weren't filled. Noel Clarke was unbelievably down to earth as ever!! It was so informal it just didn't really seem like a talk but more like a chat. I think this has probably been one of the most inspirational talks i've been to. Giving past experience and advice to the crowd and being very modest. This talk was mainly about his new film 4321, which i was very lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the trailer.

Although he was never fully trained as a director he started acting from a very young age. From there, when others would go home or back to their trailers to rest, he would stay and observe the things going on around him, and from here he would learn some new skills, which will later play a vital part in his career. One sound advice i got was to look at dvd commentaries, which is something i do sometimes. Not only that he has a real attitude about him a real hunger for success, and always room for improvement. He noted that "Not being scared of failure, there is nothing to lose" as something he always reflects upon on. Trying doesn't hurt, and the ever talented Noel, isn't one ever scared of trying. Being an actor, director and writer for films Kidulthood, Adulthood, Dr Who etc. The list is almost endless. A with many directors, and sometimes the problem, many get pigeon holed into one certain genre and many are scared of moving out of this, what Noel has said is that you should never let yourself get into this position and your work should always evolve, capturing important subjects that is interesting to yourself and connects with the audience.

Also supportive of the current underground scene, which has seen numerous unsigned artists send in music to used in the soundtrack for his films.

One hour fully enjoyed! One chance only.

I found this painter from the early 1900s. He is an Austrian Expressionist painter, Egon Schiele known for his nude portraits. One interesting fact: he was briefly imprisoned for obscenity in 1912. I really want to start painting and just do it! I know i've been saying this for a long time and it's been rather frustrating for me lately . I will do soon and i'll post them up here if i do.
Delicate may not be a suitable word here, but it is in a subtle way, the features the brush strokes. What makes it haunting about his work is that he didn't expose the body in a overly sexual way, like most nude portraits would be associated with, but rather he concentrated on the expressions and the emotions of the subject, this is what makes each portrait interesting to look at.

P.s i got my hamsters today and booked flight to Berlin happy happy times!

Right so i've sort of started my first project this term. I filmed myself, since i had noone else to film and i'm now testing out a new technique called morphing. You would have most seen this in films and in Mj's video black or white. Hope it works, fingers crossed!

Assume Vivid Astro Focus (AVAF)

Great name for something Greater. This is the name given to Brazilian artist Eli Sudbrack and the name of an international group of visual and performance artists.

I came upon an image of one installation in Another man magazine, and i just knew instantly that what i've just discovered will be something of great excitement. I was not disappointed.

They explore topics such as transgender, where often the female body is exploited, sometimes humorous, sometimes dark. I saw them last night!! Well not literally since i was too short to even notice who were on the decks. I seriously thought wouldn't it be amazing if Scratch Perverts were playing and finally it happened and for free, not bad!!

Oh and then after some crazy guy, i had a small crush on in 1st year, went up to me and started talking to me and asked me out for dinner. I said NO.

Summer through a fisheye

This is officially two months late. Photos from my summer!!

here is me being geeky and on the train back from Japan.
It was a tiring time as we spent 2 nights on a really cheap bus to go to and from Osaka to Tokyo. Getting tickets was a constant hassle also, as noone seemed to understand english that well, although they were exceptionally friendly and really helpful.

Dotombori in Osaka, such a nice place. Me and the sis sat on the bridge like total geeks looking out for hot guys, then we got bored and wanted to go out, but with our limited japanese skillz we quickly made friends with two japanese girls, which i should have known looked dodgey in the first place who then left us with two guys that would unfortunately follow us for ten minutes. (with menus). I'm thinking host bars!!?? I don't mind but my sis got freaked out a little so we went to a rock cafe in america mura instead. I loved that place if i was to live in Osaka that would be my best hang out place ever. I bought so much vintage and records from there and met the nicest people ever.

Osaka castle and park, just reminded me how hot it was. It was such a nice day tho, i saw firemen training nearby!!! Nice day out.

Went to town and took photos of people in manchester for my dissertation. Why is life such a bitch? Essay in for friday minus two days wasted, i need to get a move on.

I bought a dress from ebay and yes as you may guess it is RED!! I have a thing for red right now. Whenever i see red clothes i go a bit crazy.
In the mean time essay writing means less time to post but time for youtube.

I like this, i know it's like last season or whatever but i don't care. AMazing vid.
